Club Competitions

We extend a warm invitation to all Consett members to join us for a special event, The John Clark Memorial golf Day. The participation cost is only £20, which includes a delightful package: £12 for food (coffee and bacon roll upon arrival, followed by a mouthwatering beef stottie and chips), £5 dedicated to the chosen charity, and £3 contributed towards prizes.

John Clark holds a special place in our hearts as he was a loyal Consett member for many years. Last year’s golf day was a resounding success, raising an impressive £7000 for Henry Dancer Days. Let’s aim to make this year even better!

The tournament format is an individual stableford, with thrilling prizes up for grabs. Be prepared for some friendly competition as we award prizes to the Top 6 participants. Additionally, don’t forget to showcase your accuracy on the par 3 holes, as there will be special prizes for nearest the pin challenges. As an added treat, each of the top 6 winners will also receive a fantastic fourball experience alongside their prize.

We are proud to announce that this year’s chosen charity is the Charlie and Carter Foundation, a remarkable local organization that provides support to families with children facing serious illnesses. To further contribute to this noble cause, we will be hosting an exciting raffle after the golf tournament. Rest assured, all proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the charity. Stay tuned, as we will be announcing the enticing raffle prizes within the next week.
