tee_buttonConsett & District Golf course is an 18 hole, mature parkland course formed in 1911 and redesigned by Harry Vardon a few years later. A course review has recently been completed with the yardage now being 6083 yards. The course is set in 100 acres of the beautiful Derwent Valley on the county border between Durham and Northumberland. 

The course offers an enjoyable experience for all ages and golfing abilities. Consett Golf Club has a reputation second to none for its friendly atmosphere and excellent bar and catering facilities. It is the perfect location to complete your day's golf, have a meal, take some refreshment and enjoy the breathtaking views

Course Maintenance

Course furniture and tee marker are currently been refurbished. Now all the leaves are off the trees we have used the drainage rods to clean all the drains to help aid the course to drain. You may also have noticed thinning out the trees at the putting green, this is to aid light and more so some air circulation as it was constantly protected and in the shade. Fairway deep tine slitting will commence this coming week also. Currently play is Preferred Lies, Fairways and Semi Rough. (Not inside tree line of woods & Copses). As a trial balls in Bunkers can also have a Preferred Lie to try and improve playability. Due to winter conditions, the use of Fairway mats and electric trolley winter wheels are now mandatory..

Course Conditions

The course is OPEN with NO restrictions, however can all buggy users stick to the paths at all times and follow directional signs. Could all buggys also exit the course via 1st tee and patio, failure to follow these requests will result in buggies being removed ! for more updated information please use the course info line 01207 509996 . Winter wheels and fairway mats must also be used. Can trolley/buggy users please keep outside of roped off areas and refrain from stepping on and snapping ropes !! Please be aware certain areas are wet and slippy, Thankyou
