Welcome to Consett and District Golf Club

tee_buttonConsett & District Golf course is an 18 hole, mature parkland course formed in 1911 and redesigned by Harry Vardon a few years later. A course review has recently been completed with the yardage now being 6083 yards. The course is set in 100 acres of the beautiful Derwent Valley on the county border between Durham and Northumberland.

The course offers an enjoyable experience for all ages and golfing abilities. Consett Golf Club has a reputation second to none for its friendly atmosphere and excellent bar and catering facilities. It is the perfect location to complete your day's golf, have a meal, take some refreshment and enjoy the breathtaking views

Course Maintenance

The greens have been cut for the first time this year with the ride-on triple to tidy them up in preparation for the application of our spring fertiliser. The greens surrounds have also been mowed for the preparation of fertiliser too. My aim is to apply our spring feed as soon as practibaly possible.

Course Conditions

The course is OPEN and buggies are now permitted. Would buggy users please take extra care to avoid the many wet areas and steep slopes. Please be aware although fairway mats and winter trolley wheels are no longer compulsory. We would encourage members to continue to use them until the course condition improve. For more up to date info throughout the day please use Course Info Line on 01207 509996. Thank you !
